About the role

We manufacture bespoke furniture for commercial clients. We're looking for a skilled operator to join our timber assembly team.

Key responsibilities

Assemble bespoke furniture and cabinetry to high quality standards
Read and work from technical drawings and specifications
Accurately measure, cut, shape and assemble components to precise dimensions
Glue, fit and clamp components and sub-assemblies into complete units
Install and adjust hardware including hinges, drawer runners, catches, locks and handles
Sand and prepare surfaces and joints for finishing
Safely operate and maintain woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop in line with health and safety standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a furniture maker, cabinet maker, joiner, or in a similar woodworking role
Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, hand tools, joinery techniques and timber-based materials
Ability to work accurately from technical drawings and measurements
High attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Full UK driving licence preferred (occasional site work)”
