Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient individual to join our team as a Barista/ Waitress/waiter. This versatile role involves preparing and serving beverages and food, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality service and creating a positive experience for guests. Previous experience in food and beverage service is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic team.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, cocktails, and soft drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing attentive service to customers in person and via any ordering systems.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage payments securely.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or organising ingredients for service.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including bar counters, tables, and utensils, adhering to food safety regulations.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations when appropriate.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures to maintain hygiene at all times.
Previous barista experience is desirable, with familiarity in preparing coffee-based drinks efficiently.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks when required.
Good numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
