Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging websites using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, and Node.js.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups employing tools like Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Balsamiq, and Axure to illustrate design concepts.
- Implement responsive web designs ensuring optimal performance across devices using Bootstrap, SCSS, Less (style sheet language), and AJAX.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance website functionality and user experience (UX).
- Optimise websites for search engines (SEO) through content management systems like WordPress and Drupal, alongside analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate front-end features with back-end systems using MySQL or SQL databases.
- Maintain existing websites through regular updates, security patches, and content management system administration.
- Produce high-quality graphics and visual content using Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Acrobat.
- Ensure adherence to information architecture principles and usability standards during the design process.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in web design technologies and best practices to continually improve project outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in digital design, interaction design, UI/UX principles, and front-end development.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks such as Angular, React), PHP, Python or Node.js.
- Strong skills in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; familiarity with Adobe XD or Figma is essential.
- Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Knowledge of responsive web design techniques ensuring compatibility across all devices.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools like Google Analytics for data-driven optimisation.
- Ability to conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git; knowledge of AJAX, Redux or Telerik is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members alike.

Pay: £24,420.00-£49,800.04 per year
