Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a vibrant hospitality environment. The Chef will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient team management and collaboration
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current trends and customer preferences
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste
Train new staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
Serve dishes to guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with strong organisational skills
Experience in food production and restaurant operations is highly desirable
Good communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service excellence
