Full job description

Foyle Food Group is seeking Abattoir Operatives to join the Slaughter Hall team at our Melton Mowbray site. This is a fast-paced beef processing facility and an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK and Ireland’s most progressive meat processing companies.

Essential Requirements

Own transport is essential (no public transport links available)
Ability to carry out quality checks, including beef specification requirements
Previous experience in a red meat / slaughter / production environment is preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible approach to working hours
Ability to work in a physically demanding and cold environment
Excellent timekeeping and attendance
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and adapt to business needs

Working Hours & Pay

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Starting at 7:00am Monday to Wednesday and 6.30am Thursday and Fridays
Pay rate: £13.71 per hour + overtime
Opportunity to earn additional bonuses after successful completion of probation
