Robson Accounts is part of the Robson Group, a fully integrated professional services group offering accountancy, financial planning, and property services across Devon. This year marks our 10th anniversary — a real milestone for the business, and an exciting time to come on board as we continue to grow.

We're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team, based at either our Honiton office (71 High Street, Honiton) or our Exeter HQ at Winslade Manor (Clyst St. Mary). Whichever suits you best.

We'll consider both full-time and part-time applicants — tell us what works for you.

About the role

You'll be a key part of our accounts team, supporting clients across a varied portfolio. The work is genuinely interesting — no two clients are the same, and you'll be involved in everything from bank reconciliation to payroll and VAT through to supporting year-end work, depending on your experience.

Day to day, you can expect to be involved in:

Client onboarding, management and support
Reconciliations using Xero
Client and director payroll
Supporting the team on year-end accounts and tax returns

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience working in an accounts team (this is important to us)
Is AAT qualified or part-qualified (preferred but not essential)
Has experience using Xero (preferred)
Is comfortable communicating with clients in a friendly, professional way
Takes pride in accuracy and getting the detail right
Wants to grow with a business that's genuinely going places
