About Us

We are a CQC-registered care provider delivering person-centred support to adults in the community. We are committed to providing safe, compassionate and high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence, choice and positive outcomes for the people we support.

We are now looking for a motivated and organised Care Quality & Training Lead to join our team and support the ongoing quality, compliance and development of our service.

About the Role

The Care Quality & Training Lead will support the Registered Manager and senior team with quality assurance, staff training compliance, audits, competency checks and service improvement.

This is an important role for someone who is passionate about high standards of care and enjoys helping staff feel confident, supported and competent in their roles.

You will help ensure the service remains safe, person-centred, well-led and inspection-ready, while promoting a positive culture of learning, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

Carrying out regular quality audits, including care plans, risk assessments, daily notes, MAR charts, incident records, complaints, staff files and training records.

Supporting the Registered Manager to identify areas for improvement and monitor action plans.

Maintaining the staff training matrix and ensuring mandatory training is completed on time.

Identifying training gaps and supporting the planning of refresher training.

Supporting staff induction, shadowing records, probationary evidence and competency checks.

Completing or supporting spot checks, observations and medication competency assessments.

Reviewing care documentation to ensure it is accurate, person-centred, up to date and compliant with company policies.

Supporting preparation for CQC inspections, local authority monitoring visits and internal quality reviews.

Helping gather and organise quality evidence, audit records and compliance documents.

Supporting learning from incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and feedback.

Promoting best practice in safeguarding, dignity, record keeping, medication safety, person-centred care and professional conduct.

Working closely with managers, care staff, service users, families and external professionals to support high-quality care.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, professional and confident in supporting quality and training within a care setting.

You should have a good understanding of what safe, person-centred care looks like and be able to support staff in maintaining high standards. You will need to be confident reviewing records, identifying gaps, giving constructive feedback and escalating concerns appropriately.

Essential Requirements

Experience working in adult social care, supported living, domiciliary care, residential care or another CQC-regulated service.

Good understanding of CQC expectations and care quality standards.

Experience with care plans, risk assessments, audits, quality checks or compliance monitoring.

Understanding of safeguarding adults, medication safety, mental capacity, dignity, confidentiality and person-centred care.

Experience supporting staff induction, training, supervision, observations or competency checks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Good IT and record-keeping skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to identify concerns and report them appropriately.

A genuine commitment to improving care quality and staff development.

Desirable Requirements

Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or willingness to work towards this.

Experience preparing for CQC inspections or local authority quality monitoring.

Experience using electronic care planning systems.

Train-the-Trainer qualification or experience delivering training.

Experience completing medication audits or staff competency assessments.

Experience working with adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
