Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time and Full-time Fish Fryer to join our friendly team at Marlow’s British Kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and frying high-quality fish and chips while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, cleanliness and customer service.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare, batter and fry fish to a consistently high standard.
Cook chips and other fried menu items efficiently.
Monitor fryer temperatures and cooking times.
Ensure all food is fresh, properly cooked and presented well.
Manage orders during busy service periods.
Keep the frying area, equipment and kitchen clean and organised.
Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.
Check stock levels and inform management when supplies are running low.
Assist with opening and closing duties when required.
Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team.

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience using a commercial fish fryer is preferred.
Experience working in a fish and chip shop, takeaway or busy kitchen would be beneficial.
Ability to work quickly and calmly during busy periods.
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Friendly and professional attitude.

Working Hours

This is a part-time and full time position, working approximately 20hrs hours per week. Shifts will include a combination of weekdays, evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the business.

Pay: £10.00-£11.50 per hour
