HR Advisor - Employee Relations Specialist - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
Team Swift are currently looking for an additional HR Advisor to join our HR team here at Swift Group, our focus is to ensure we have the best talent within our business, in the right place, at the right time and we are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to support the HR function.
The ideal candidate would be a professional and pragmatic experienced HR Advisor. You will be responsible for providing HR support and guidance on employee relations matters and will be confident in your own knowledge and ability to influence others.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated and organised individual with a high level of attention to detail, who thrives from working within a fast paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get stuck in to some exciting new projects and initiatives Swift are currently putting in place during a busy growth period.
37.5 hours ~ Monday – Friday
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
ER case management, providing clear and concise advice to line managers on discipline, grievance, performance, and change management- Take ownership of all absence issues, including short term absence management and implementing capability/long term sick procedures
- Ensure the welfare of employees is maintained by referring for medical/emotional support through occupational health and the Employee Assistance Programme
- Provide advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues. Reviewing, updating and relaunching policies when required
- Coach and develop managers within all aspects of people management to drive performance and behaviour, empowering them to take ownership of people issues within their teams
- Ensure employee records and systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner
- At times you will be required to perform other duties as required and directed by line management
- You will be an active participant in developing and driving a company culture that emphasises safety, quality, continuous improvement, development and high performance
- Actively support the TEAM SWIFT ethos by positively working with others
- Be familiar with, and adhere to, company policies and procedures
- Meet your health & safety responsibilities and co-operate with management to achieve a healthy and safe workplace, taking reasonable care of yourself and others
Building working relationships with all stake holders and supporting managers with interview and selection when requested.- Be a real advocate and ambassador of the Team Swift experience.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a HR Advisor or similar role- Strong ER case management experience and have up to date knowledge of employment law
- CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and competing priorities
- Confident approach with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills are essential, with particular knowledge of Microsoft packages
