Warehouse Cleaner & Counterbalance Forklift Operative
About the Role
Are you a reliable early riser with a keen eye for cleanliness and experience in industrial cleaning? Do you hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence?
We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Cleaner & Counterbalance Forklift Operative to join our team. This is a vital dual-role position where maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness is the primary responsibility, while your forklift skills will play an important part in supporting our daily operations.
Each morning, you will assist with vehicle loading in our dispatch area. Throughout your shift, you will also operate a counterbalance forklift to safely transport industrial waste bins to a local council disposal facility located approximately 200 metres from our site. The remainder of your day will be dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of our warehouse facilities in line with BRC Global Standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesForklift Operations
- Safely assist with morning vehicle loading in the dispatch area using a counterbalance forklift.
Waste Management
- Operate a counterbalance forklift both on-site and externally to transport industrial waste bins to the local council disposal facility.
BRC Compliance
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across all warehouse areas to maintain strict BRC hygiene and food safety standards.
Inspections & Record Keeping
- Carry out routine facility inspections.
- Report maintenance issues and potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate cleaning records and audit documentation.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.
RequirementsEssential
- Valid and accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, industrial cleaning, waste handling, or a similar environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently meet the 4:00am start time.
Desirable
- Previous experience working to BRC standards, COSHH regulations, or food industry hygiene requirements.
- Experience maintaining compliance records and cleaning documentation.
