Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in a variety of settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Candidates should possess relevant experience and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently.
Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing systems and determine appropriate solutions.
Perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
Assist with carpentry or assembly tasks related to plumbing installations when necessary.
Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting materials or equipment.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to minimise risks on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industry.
Proficiency with plumbing techniques, welding, carpentry, and mechanical knowledge.
Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as welding apparatus.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving if required for site access or material transportation.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship, safety standards, and continuous professional development in the field of plumbing.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £22.00-£23.00 per hour
