Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting medication management and contributing to the well-being of our patients. This position offers valuable experience within a professional pharmacy environment and is suitable for individuals committed to delivering high standards of service.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Prepare and label medication containers in accordance with legal and organisational guidelines
Assist with medication administration procedures, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions are followed
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Provide support to patients by answering basic queries related to medication use and storage
Ensure the pharmacy area is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment
Follow all protocols for confidentiality, data protection, and patient safety

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care principles
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A recognised qualification in pharmacy assistance or technician training is preferred
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal regulations within healthcare settings
