Summary
We are seeking an Activity Assistant to join our dedicated team at Roscarrack House. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and social interactions. Your contributions will help create a vibrant community atmosphere that promotes well-being.
This role is for no less than 24 hours but we are looking for someone with flexibility who is able to help out during staff holidays and sickness.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Encourage participation in group activities and one-on-one interactions.
- Assist residents with mobility and provide support during activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes social interaction.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with residents' care plans.
- Monitor residents' engagement levels and adapt activities accordingly.
Requirements
- Experience in a care setting or working with seniors is preferred.
- Flexibility on availability to work varied shifts and alternate weekends.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour when working with individuals with varying needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Creative mindset to develop engaging activity programs.
