Full job description

Spiral UK is the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke stairs, known for our high-quality products and award-winning service. Having recently become an Employee Owned Business, we are proud to be able to share our successes with our employees as well as give them a voice to help shape the future.

We are looking for a full-time, permanent factory supervisor to manage and lead a team of fabricator/welders and apprentices at our factory in Helston, Cornwall.

This role requires a strong technical background in welding and fabrication, as well as the ability to provide guidance and ensure the safety and efficiency of production processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and motivate the team by providing direction and goals.
Organise workflow by assigning responsibilities and tasks.
Serve as a role model and mentor and provide training and supervision to apprentices.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and make any recommendations for improvement.

Skills and attributes needed:

Proven experience within a supervisory role
Welding / Fabrication experience – strong hands-on experience in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication is required.
Proficiency in MS Office tools
Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
Experience of working to EN1090 standards.

Rate of pay: Between £34,000 and £38,000 p/a depending on experience. (Overtime is additional and at enhanced rates.)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 16.30pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
