The Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Catering Service Engineer to join our growing team covering Devon & Cornwall.
The role includes:
- Reactive breakdowns
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Fault finding and repairs
- Installation and commissioning support
across a wide range of commercial catering equipment within hospitality, education, and commercial environments.
Equipment worked on may include:
- Combi ovens
- Fryers
- Grills
- Solid tops
- Warewash equipment
- Dishwashers and glasswashers
- General commercial kitchen equipment
You’ll manage your own workload and work independently while supported by an experienced office and management team that understands the realities of field service work.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas and electrical catering equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance across multiple customer sites
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Completing Gas Safety Records, job sheets, and compliance documentation
- Working safely and professionally on customer sites
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Liaising with office staff, suppliers, and site managers
- Participation in a well-managed on-call rota
What You’ll Need Essential
- Experience servicing commercial catering equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work
Desirable
- COMCAT qualifications
- Experience with electrical catering equipment
- LPG qualifications
- Manufacturer training or OEM experience
- Experience working within hospitality and education sectors
Additional training and support can be provided for the right candidate.
