We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our KierBAM team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Location: Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard
Hours: 45 hours per week

KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. As a Site Engineer, you'll assist in managing the technical compliance of the project to design specifications, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a significant project within a live MOD facility.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Site Engineer, you'll be working within the WRB Section team, supporting them in delivering this important redevelopment project. Your day to day will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings and establishing effective systems to record completed work
- Participating in developing quality check sheets and carrying out quality checks, surveys, and site inspections
- Setting out works within allowable tolerances and regularly checking setting out points and benchmarks
- Providing engineering support to overcome technical problems and assist in procurement of site materials
- Maintaining drawing registers, completing daily diaries, and keeping trackers up to date
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Engineer is great for you if:
- You hold a Civil Engineering or construction related qualification (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng) and may be working towards Chartership
- You have experience in reinforced concrete structures using system formwork and are familiar with Leica Survey equipment
- You're comfortable with Quality Management Systems, writing RAMS, and possess strong IT skills
- You hold a Supervisor HSE test, SSSTS, and CSCS Card (White PQP/AQP or Red Trainee or Red Provisional)
- You're a team player with excellent organisational skills and flexibility to work weekends when required
