Tradeglaze is an award-winning manufacturer and installer of bespoke windows and doors, serving trade, commercial and domestic customers across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Aluminium and uPVC Processor to join our technical team. This is a varied and hands-on role responsible for processing aluminium and uPVC orders, preparing quotations, providing technical support and assisting with product design and purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing
- Process aluminium and uPVC window and door orders into manufacturing-ready production files.
- Produce accurate cutting lists, CNC data and manufacturing documentation.
- Use LogiKal, Windows Designer and other industry software to generate production information.
- Ensure all orders comply with customer specifications, building regulations and company quality standards.
- Optimise material usage and manufacturing efficiency.
Estimating
- Prepare quotations for aluminium windows, doors and associated glazing products.
- Review technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Assist with pricing enquiries and technical quotations.
- Support project handovers from quotation stage through to manufacture.
Purchasing Support
- Assist with material ordering and procurement activities.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding technical specifications, pricing and lead times.
- Support stock management and material planning requirements.
Technical Support & Design
- Provide technical support to Sales, Surveying, Purchasing and Production teams.
- Interpret technical drawings, surveys and customer specifications.
- Use CAD software to produce manufacturing drawings and bespoke design details.
- Assist with technical problem-solving and product development.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
About You
Essential
- Previous experience processing aluminium and/or uPVC window and door orders.
- Experience using LogiKal for aluminium processing.
- Experience using Windows Designer or equivalent software for uPVC processing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable
- Experience preparing quotations within the fenestration industry.
- CAD experience for producing manufacturing and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Senior Architectural Systems, AluK or similar systems.
- Experience generating CNC manufacturing data.
- Understanding of current building regulations and industry standards.
