Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors and have a genuine passion for animals. This role involves providing exercise, companionship, and basic care to dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they remain happy and healthy during their walks. The position offers flexible hours suitable for those who love working with animals and want to make a positive difference in their daily lives.

Duties

Taking dogs on scheduled walks around neighbourhoods or designated routes, ensuring their safety at all times
Providing companionship and basic care during walks, including feeding treats or administering medication if required
Monitoring dogs’ behaviour and health during outings, recognising signs of distress or discomfort
Cleaning up after dogs, including waste disposal in accordance with hygiene standards
Communicating with pet owners regarding their dog’s behaviour or any concerns observed during walks
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including equipment used for walking and care

Requirements

Prior experience
Genuine love for animals with a caring and patient demeanour
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling dog leashes, harnesses, or supplies
Reliable transportation to reach various walking locations within the neighbourhoods
Physical fitness to manage multiple dog walks daily and handle active dogs safely
Flexibility to work during mornings, afternoons, or early evenings as required
