We are delighted to announce that we are looking for several Maintenance Engineering Apprentices to train and develop as Site Maintenance Technicians.
As part of this, you will be undertaking a structured training program of academic study, along with on-the-job training, in order to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the Dematic business. Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled staff
To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or with a team, undertaking tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the business
To undertake and successfully complete all training activities, achieving the academic grades and practical skills in order to complete the apprenticeship qualification.
To learn and comply with relevant Health & Safety legislation at all times
To ensure the quality of output at all times
To accurately record all work undertaken; completing and submitting all reports on time
Involvement in continuous improvement activities
To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations
To adhere to the quality processes and procedures as set out by the company
To maintain records and log book over the duration of the apprenticeship period, recording projects that have been undertaken and the skills learned and submitting and reporting requirements within the required timescale
Activities will include but not be limited to:
Carryout scheduled maintenance in line with manufacturers' requirements
Provide first-line support to our customers in fault rectification of these systems
Identify faults, establish root causes and suggest improvements to engineer out the issue
Communicate back to the main business for upgrades and project opportunities
Manage customers' expectations during breakdowns
Facilitate the sharing of knowledge and improvements, both within the site team and to the wider business
Adhere to health and safety standards, including but not limited to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
Comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual
Work across multiple sites as requested
Requirements: All applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/5 or above) including the core subjects of Maths, Science, and English.
