Optimax is the UK’s longest established eye surgery specialists & market leader in Refractive Eye Surgery, with 20 locations Nationwide. We are keen to engage enthusiastic, well presented Optometrists (preferably locum but employed posts will be considered) with strong interpersonal and communication skills for our Clinic in Brighton.
We are happy to work on a locum basis but will consider full time or part time contracted posts. Salary/applicable fees will be dependent on type of contract offered.
You do not need previous experience in the field of refractive eye surgery as we will provide all necessary training with our experienced team of specialised Optometrists. Previous experience in an NHS setting will be advantageous.

Responsibilities for Optometrist:
· Conduct pre-treatment consultation & post-treatment aftercare appointments
· Provide treatment recommendations based on your clinical findings during consultation
· Communicate regularly with staff regarding the treatment recommendation and/or post-operative care of patients
The Company offers the following treatment ranges:
· LASIK Intralase Wavefront
· LASEK Wavefront
· Cataracts/Refractive Lens Exchange
· Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL)
· Corneal Collagen Cross Linking
Requirements for Optometrist:
· Minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience (essential)
· Previous experience in the field of refractive surgery (advantageous but not essential)
· Previous experience in an NHS setting (advantageous but not essential)
· Flexibility with working hours and working days
You must live in and be fully authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
