Your Mission
To deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient processing of all customer orders, ensuring that every detail is correctly interpreted and executed from entry through to production and invoicing.
You will play a key role in maintaining operational flow, supporting cross-functional teams, and upholding high standards of quality and compliance—helping the business meet customer expectations while continuously improving processes and reducing errors.
Key Reponsibilities
- Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner in line with company procedures
- Ensure all orders are interpreted correctly, including specifications, quantities, and pricing
- Follow all SOP processes and compliance requirements at all times
- Manage and prioritise own workload to meet daily targets
- Support team workload during peak periods or staff absence
- Highlight any discrepancies, errors, or concerns to the SOP Manager
- Accurately process orders in Sage, ensuring correct specifications, job cards, and adherence to customer requirements
- Support invoicing and reconciliation processes, ensuring all orders and delivery documentation are complete and accurate
- Ensure full compliance with order requirements, including fire certification, labelling, and accurate system updates
- Manage and fulfil sample requests, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely dispatch
- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Production, Transport, and Accounts to resolve queries and maintain workflow
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, identify recurring issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to all company policies, maintain accurate records, and support departmental objectives and training activities
Experience
Essential:
- Experience in a sales order processing, administration, or customer service role
- Experience working with ERP systems (Sage or similar) and accurate data entry
- Experience interpreting customer orders, specifications, and pricing
- Experience supporting invoicing and reconciliation processes
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience collaborating with multiple departments to resolve queries
Desirable:
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience with compliance processes (e.g. fire certification or regulated products)
