Full job description

Are you an organised, proactive professional with a passion for supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are seeking a highly capable Directorate PA to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the senior leadership team within Children, Young People and Family Health Services Directorate.

In this pivotal role, you will act as a key link between leadership teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across services. You’ll manage complex diaries, prepare high-quality meeting documentation, and act as a first point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders. You will also take on line management responsibilities for administrative staff, supporting their development, performance, and day-to-day coordination to maintain a high-quality, efficient service.

With a strong eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills, you’ll thrive in a role where priorities can shift quickly and no two days are the same.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

You will provide high-level administrative support to the Directorate Management Team. Key responsibilities include managing diaries, organising meetings and events, preparing agendas and papers, and taking accurate minutes with timely follow-up of actions.

You will oversee administrative systems and processes, supervise and support administrative staff, and contribute to HR-related activities such as recruitment, induction, and workforce coordination. Acting as a central point of contact, you will handle complex and sensitive enquiries with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.

The role also involves coordinating legal and subject access requests, managing databases, maintaining records, and supporting service delivery across community and clinical settings. You will play a key role in ensuring effective communication, efficient use of resources, and continuous improvement of administrative practices within the directorate.
