Full job description

Job Summary
Gel Landscaping are looking for an experienced working Team Leads to join our rapidly growing company. We specialise in driveways, patios, porcelain installation, drainage and more. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the installation team reporting directly into the company director. You will need to hold a full driving licence and have at least 5 year’s experience within the industry.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with leadership skills to contribute to our organisation’s reputation for exceptional outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of landscape operatives in daily tasks including slab laying, groundworks, understanding levels and designs and general building and landscaping techniques.
Oversee the utilisation and maintenance of equipment such as excavators, power tools, hand tools, mixers etc.
Plan and coordinate landscaping projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met and work is carried out efficiently.
Provide training and guidance to team members on proper use of machinery, safety procedures, where needed.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver customised landscape solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, groundworks.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining machinery such as excavators and power tools.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team efficiently.
Good organisational skills with the capacity to plan workloads and meet deadlines.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction are desirable but not essential.
A valid driver’s licence is preferred for transporting equipment or team members between sites.
