Primary purpose and function of position:
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you will be responsible for a single packaging line and all elements of performance for this line.
This job description and the job title Packaging Line Owner is not necessarily descriptive of all duties and does not restrict flexibility. You may be required to carry out tasks in addition to or instead of your normal duties, either for the Company or for AB In-Bev, provided that they are reasonable and within your capabilities.
Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and compliance to standards
- Promote safe working practices and complies to E&S, Quality and HACCP standards
- Responsible for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality compliance
- Ensure compliance with all company and departmental standards, processes and legal obligations
- Takes ownership for creation and review of line SOP’s, Quality and Health & Safety documentation
- Ensure appropriate SLA’s are met in regards to maintaining quality standards and specifications
- Takes ownership for adherence to processes within area e.g. SLA’s and health and safety performance
- Identifies and communicates appropriate safety precautions including internal and external risk assessments
Issuing of Permits To Work for activities on the line and other areas of the department as required

Packaging Line Performance
- Accountable for all aspects of line performance – i.e. Safety, Quality, Environmental Compliance, Financial, Production Plan, Efficiency, Losses and Waste
- Responsible for the line Dream, KPI's, Strategy and plan to achieve it
- Manages the Packaging KPI and PI development, tracking, monitoring, analysis, diagnosis and consequent corrective/improvement actions
- Responsible for overall line production strategy, SPOC of the packaging line with Logistics planning, scheduling, integration of new products, analysis of alternative production scenarios on GLY and other KPI's.
- Responsible for reviewing and action completion of GOPS and Gapa
- Coordinate production & PM windows with Logistics and technical planners
- Participates in the integration of new equipment, processes, products on the line - ensuring the application of Management of Change protocols
- Validation of priorities with Packaging Reliability FLM and Performance Capex and Compliance FLM review quality of work orders execution
- Collaborate with Reliability FLM to ensure Technicians on day-shift support continuous improvement using VPO tools
- Responsible for the deployment and sustainability of applicable VPO pillars/blocks on the line
- Responsible for MCRS execution on the line and for FLM (across all shifts) to follow their Management Check Lists and agendas of the routine
- Accountable for sustainable problem solving: problem identification and diagnosis, use and quality of 5 Whys, Abnormality Reports, PDCAs and other VPO problem solving tools by the Line Teams.
- Accountable for appropriate design and utilisation of VPO supporting infrastructure (e.g. Line Team room, communication and line performance visualisation, operators workstations, etc.) to drive results
- Accountable for the deployment and effectiveness of ATO (Autonomous Operations) and SKAP (Skills Acquisition Program) activities across all shifts
- SPOC with owners of financials and inventories, responsible for tracking and accuracy of loss reporting and related GOPs
- Responsible for line skill gap analysis and collaborate with Shift FLM to develop and execute training plan (SKAP)
- Responsible for labour planning for non-routine activities (rework, master cleaning, etc.)
Accountable for people engagement in the line and driving "meaningful jobs" (i.e. Removing mundane low skill tasks from operators & technicians)

Control of cost and budget
- Participates in department Maintenance budgeting and financial tracking
- Ensures cost optimisation across all areas of the department
- Contributes to implementing strategic concepts to reduce costs and increase service levels

Key Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:
- Experience and knowledge of Company business systems and process, i.e. SAP and Sigma etc.
- Experience of managing teams to achieve challenging targets and objectives
- Experience of dealing with industrial relations issues
- Experience in managing & delivering significant changes initiatives and process improvement activities
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques and project management principles through VPO methodology
- A full understanding of all activities or tasks in line with food safety requirements covered within a procedure (CCP or prerequisite)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supply/Manufacturing
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
