Vacuum Excavator Second Operative – Self Employed
Rate: £18 per hour
Hours: Average 12-hour days, Monday to Friday
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Vacuum Excavator Second Operative to join our growing team based out of Cinderford.
The role involves working alongside a Vacuum Excavator Operator on utility, construction, and civil engineering projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is safety conscious, practical, and willing to work long hours when required.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Vacuum Excavator Operator on site
- Setting up and maintaining safe working areas
- Handling suction hoses and excavation equipment
- General site duties and housekeeping
- Supporting daily maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle/equipment
- Working in line with health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- CSCS card preferred
- Previous construction, utilities, or groundwork experience beneficial
- Good attitude and work ethic essential
- Ability to work away occasionally if required
- Driving licence preferred
