Who we are:
New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) is a different kind of higher education institution.
Founded to rethink engineering education from the ground up, we deliver hands-on, challenge-led learning designed around real-world industry problems. We don’t use traditional lectures or exams — instead, students learn by designing, building, testing, experimenting, and collaborating.
Backed by industry, government, and the engineering profession, NMITE is building an engineering education model focused on creativity, practical problem-solving, innovation, and regional impact.
We are looking for people who enjoy making things happen, solving problems, trying new ideas, and helping others learn through practical experience.
A sense of humour and a willingness to work collaboratively also go a long way here.
The job:
The Technical Coordinator a central role in delivering NMITE’s hands-on, challenge-led learning model.
Working across workshops and project spaces, you will support students and academic teams to turn ideas into working solutions through practical engineering, prototyping, experimentation, and testing.
This is not a traditional university technician role. We are looking for someone who enjoys practical engineering, troubleshooting, experimentation, and helping others build confidence through making and doing.
You will help shape engaging engineering environments where students can safely design, prototype, build, and test real-world solutions.
