Full job description

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Team Leader to join our friendly team at our residential care home, providing high-quality care and support for people living with dementia.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering person-centred care, leading by example, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the care team during day shifts to ensure the highest standards of care.
Deliver compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Administer medication safely in line with policies and procedures (where qualified).
Support residents with their daily living needs while encouraging choice and independence.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate care staff, ensuring excellent teamwork and communication.
Maintain accurate care records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience working in a residential care setting, ideally supporting people living with dementia.
Has experience leading or supervising a care team.
Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Is caring, reliable, compassionate, and committed to delivering outstanding care.
Is confident making decisions and supporting colleagues throughout the shift.
Is flexible to work alternate weekends and participate in the shift rota.
