Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress and Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about catering, cooking, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding service to guests while supporting the kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and presentation. Previous restaurant or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A strong focus on food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Serving customers with professionalism and courtesy, taking orders accurately, and delivering food and beverages promptly
Assisting in meal preparation and food presentation in accordance with hygiene standards
Supporting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, plating, and cleaning ingredients
Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen at all times
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
Restocking supplies in both the dining area and kitchen as needed
Assisting with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests
Supporting the team during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or general kitchen duties is desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to enhance guest experience
Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
