Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking 2 professional and organised Medical Receptionist/ Administrator to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment, contributing to the efficient delivery of healthcare services.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations using practice management software
Answer incoming calls promptly and assist with patient inquiries
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Handle correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Process payments and insurance documentation efficiently
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Support other administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document photocopying
Flexible with hours to cover for annual leave or sickness when required

Skills

Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organisation
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
Friendly demeanour with a customer-focused approach
Ability to multitask effectively whilst maintaining accuracy
