Little Haugh Farm is looking for an enthusiastic and practical person to join our small, dedicated team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, cares about regenerative farming and animal welfare, and wants to make a real difference. We are building a farm that produces highly nutritious, locally grown food while restoring the health of our land.
Our livestock consists of 100% grass-fed cattle and pasture-raised pigs, both raised to the highest welfare standards for premium meat production, alongside a thriving no-dig walled garden producing seasonal vegetables and fruit.
Working as part of a close-knit team of three, no two days will be the same. Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping care for our 100% grass-fed cattle and pasture-raised pigs.
- Assisting with rotational grazing, fencing and general livestock husbandry.
- Working alongside our Head Vegetable Grower in our no-dig walled garden, helping to grow seasonal vegetables and fruit using regenerative growing practices.
- Supporting the maintenance and presentation of the farm, gardens and wider estate alongside our groundsman.
- Leading occasional farm walks and helping visitors understand our approach to regenerative farming, animal welfare and nutrient-dense food production.
- Working with the wider team to continue developing and improving the farm.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys practical outdoor work throughout the year.
- Has a genuine interest in farming, horticulture, food production, conservation or regenerative agriculture.
- Is proactive, reliable and enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team.
- Is adaptable and happy to turn their hand to a wide variety of tasks.
- Enjoys engaging with people and sharing enthusiasm for farming, nature and local food.
- Experience with livestock, horticulture or estate work would be an advantage, but is not essential. We are happy to invest in someone with the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.
