As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), at Stamford Hill you will play a vital role in supporting our nurses and vets with in-patient procedures and day to day pet care. You’ll help ensure every patient receives exceptional attention, comfort, and compassion throughout their stay. Our clinic is built on a genuine love for animals. From the moment a pet walks through our doors, they are welcomed with warmth, whether that’s a gentle cuddle, a reassuring voice, or a well-earned treat. We pride ourselves on delivering consistent, high-quality care at every stage, from reception through to discharge. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that is dedicated not only to the wellbeing of our patients, but also to creating a supportive and positive experience for our clients and colleagues alike.

About you

You’re skilled at providing exceptional client care and are passionate about caring for pets. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

We welcome applications from candidates able to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and who are flexible and willing to learn.

This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
Work collaboratively within a supportive team
