Key Responsibilities
Main Duties
- Operate industrial buttonhole machines.
- Produce covered buttons.
- Carry out garment alterations:
- Hems
- Sleeves
- Seam repairs
- Waist adjustments
- Assist with garment finishing and sewing tasks.
- Occasionally help customers and keep the shop tidy.
Essential Requirements
- Experience using buttonhole machinery (this is the key requirement).
- High attention to detail.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred (Not Essential)
- Experience making covered buttons.
- Luxury garment finishing.
- 2–3 years of tailoring, fashion, or costume experience.
- Fabric knowledge.
- UK driving licence.
Suitability This role is best suited to someone who has:
- Hands-on experience with industrial buttonhole machines.
- Previous experience as a seamstress or tailor.
- Confidence performing clothing alterations to a high standard.

Pay: £14.80-£16.50 per hour
