Job description

We are looking for a Certification & Testing Manager to join our growing Product Development team in Newport. Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and innovation.

About the Role This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of product certification, compliance, and testing. From preparing technical files and managing submissions to Notified Bodies, through to developing and maintaining a library of test reports, your work will be essential in getting products to market quickly and to the required standards. You will also be instrumental in operating our new R&D laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping processes, driving compliance, and supporting innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage product certification and compliance, ensuring certificates are obtained within agreed timelines.
Prepare technical files, labels, risk assessments, and user documentation.
Liaise with suppliers, test houses, and Notified Bodies to secure required certifications.
Monitor and maintain certificate and test report libraries.
Support the setup and accreditation of a new in-house R&D laboratory, including cost analysis, equipment sourcing, and process development.
Perform or oversee material testing and maintain accurate records.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in PPE product certification, PPE regulation, and material testing.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong relationship management skills with suppliers and external partners.
Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
A positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude – with the ability to go the extra mile.

Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
