About Us
ECC is a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor working across Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Procurement & Finance Administrator to support our procurement and accounts functions from our head office in Brandesburton.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, accurate, and confident working across both purchasing administration and invoice processing.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to the procurement and finance teams, helping to ensure materials, orders, invoices, and associated records are processed accurately and efficiently.
This is a busy, varied role where no two days are the same. You will be liaising with suppliers, internal teams, site staff, and the accounts department to help keep information moving smoothly across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Raising and processing purchase orders
- Assisting with procurement administration and supplier queries
- Matching invoices against purchase orders and delivery tickets
- Checking invoice details for accuracy
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, prices, queries, and missing information
- Supporting the finance team with invoice processing and general accounts administration
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Communicating with site teams to confirm deliveries, materials, and order details
- Assisting with price checks, supplier information, and basic reporting
- Supporting the wider office team with general administrative duties where required
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Confident working with numbers and paperwork
- Able to prioritise tasks in a busy office environment
- A good communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable speaking with suppliers, site teams, and internal departments
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn
- Able to work well as part of a team
Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, accounts administration, invoice matching, or construction administration would be beneficial, but full training can be provided for the right person.
Desirable Experience
- Experience raising purchase orders
- Invoice matching or accounts administration experience
- Familiarity with construction, plant, materials, or supplier processes
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
