The Role
We are seeking an experienced hands-on IT Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to our staff, managing our website and helping to inform IT strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the organisation's IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and software applications
- Monitor system performance and take steps to optimise and improve as necessary
- Implement and manage data backup and recovery systems, including Veeam Backup and Replication
- Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues across multiple sites
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP services
- Manage user accounts and access permissions across multiple platforms, including MS 365 and Google Workspace
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organisation's data
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT field and make recommendations for improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts as necessary
- Manage and actively participate in IT centric/adjacent projects
- Help to manage and grow our website and social media platforms
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff where required
Key Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT management
- Experience with:
- Windows Server and Desktop OS’s (Specifically Server 2016, Windows 10 and 11)
- Microsoft HyperV
- Veeam Backup and Replication or other enterprise level backup solution
- Active Directory, DHCP and DNS
- Libre Office, Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
- All aspects of IT related hardware and infrastructure support inc. Desktops, Laptops, Printers, VOIP Phones, Switches, Routers, Wifi Access Points etc
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Driving licence and own car, we have depots across the North West that you will need to get to and from with paid mileage.

- Experience with:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0+
- Group Policy
- Microsoft Visual Basic and Libre Basic
- Magento 2.0 and Wordpress
- PCI DSS Compliance
- Microsoft SQL Server Express Scripting
- Experience with Draytek and UniFi networking equipment
- Knowledge of Powershell scripting and automation
- Project Management Experience
- Ability with graphical software to edit the likes of social media posts and web banners

Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
