Labcorp is seeking a Trainee Animal Care Technician to join our Metabolism team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4pm, Friday 7.45am – 3.30pm. 1 in 3 weekends as overtime.

Job Responsibilities:

Acclimatisation of animals to their surroundings
Ensuring that animal enclosures are maintained
Cleaning out kennels, pens and cages and changing bedding
Exercising dogs and socialising with the animals
Handling, feeding and watering animals
Accurately recording vital animal information like body weights

Minimum Qualifications:

Educated to GCSE Level to include English and Maths

Preferred Qualifications:

Animal Care Level 2 OR Animal Management Level 3
Institute of Animal Technology qualification

Additional Job Standards:

Previous experience working with animals
Passion for our industry
Enthusiastic and committed attitude
Reliable, with a hardworking approach to the job
Please note this is 12 month fixed term contract
