About us:
Our practice is located in Durham a location known for is magnificent Cathedral and Castle, this is a wonderful location for you to get the best of both worlds!
We understand the important of a work/life wellness balance, so you will be surrounded by a team that cares for each other and believe in building a judgement free work environment. You will be joining a supportive team of 5 vets, 9 RVNs, 1 SVN, and to top that you are also supported by a Practice Manager, Administrator and a team of Client Care Coordinators to ensure the day to day running of the practice goes smoothly.
Our lovely team really enjoy socialising together including an annual garden party, access to a chalet in the French Alps and nurse lead outings. We'll also provide cake on your birthday!
About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced nurse who wants to bring fresh ideas to the practice and who is looking to be part of a growing team. We have nurses with certificates in anaesthesia, exotics, feline friendly nursing, ECC & Nutrition. We love having our nurses be able to use their skills as much as possible in our day to day running. This position is full time, and you would be working on a rota basis, working 1 in 5 Saturdays alongside another nurse but no OOH. We do understand everyone is different so if you are looking for part time hours, we would still like to hear from you.
About You:
You will be an experienced RVN with a minimum of 18 months post qualification experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player, have a systematic approach when making decisions and be able to carry out the role effectively with planning and organisation. You are friendly, down-to-earth, have a genuine interest in animal welfare and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike. Previous experience as a clinical coach or willing to work towards is advantageous.
