Overview
We are seeking a skilled LV/HV Cable Jointers to join our team, responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of low and high voltage electrical cables. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with hands-on experience in cable jointing within the utility or construction sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision, technical expertise, and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Execute LV (Low Voltage) and HV (High Voltage) cable jointing procedures in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols
Operate and utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as fault location devices.
Use electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation or maintenance activities.
Perform routine inspections of cables and joints to identify potential faults or hazards
Follow strict health and safety guidelines throughout all operations to minimise risk of accidents or injuries
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects within designated timeframes

Qualifications

Proven experience in LV/HV cable jointing, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools.
Electrical knowledge relevant to cable installation, trenching, and equipment maintenance
Electrical experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with high voltage systems and jointing techniques
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
Relevant certifications or qualifications related to electrical work or cable jointing are preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed technical instructions accurately
