About Friends and Places Together
F&PT has been creating meaningful opportunities for young adults (14+) to connect with friends outside of school and college since 2010. We support young people who are vulnerable, experience anxiety or trauma, are neurodiverse, or have learning or physical disabilities.

About the Role
We are seeking a professional to oversee the delivery, growth, and sustainability of F&PT’s services. This is a leadership role with responsibility for service management and operational oversight, ensuring the charity meets its mission while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You will manage staff and volunteers, coordinate activities and events, handle referrals, and ensure operational processes are efficient, safe, and impactful. You will be working closely with the CEO to maintain quality and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritise growth of the service through recruitment of new service users & increase services offered
- Manage referrals from schools, colleges, social services, and self-referrals
- Develop relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure collaborative support
- Oversee quality assurance through spot checks, audits, and performance reviews of activities
- Attend social worker reviews, SEND/SAVS/Learning Disability events, and community engagement activities
- Plan and organise activities, day trips, holidays, and afterschool/weekend sessions
- Monitor client outcomes and produce case studies demonstrating impact and good practice.
- Collection of feedback from service users & carers to help improve service delivery

Role Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in service management within a charity, youth work, or social care setting
- Experience in client assessment, risk assessment, and support plan development
- Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, equality, and human rights principles
- Confident in community engagement, presentations, and stakeholder liaison
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and organisational abilities
- Driving license & successful DBS check
