## Join The Dog Club Team
Dog Daycare Assistant
Full-time (40 hours) and Part-time (20 hours) positions available
Do you have professional experience working with dogs or animals and want to build a career in one of the UK's leading dog daycare facilities?
The Dog Club is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking Dog Daycare Assistants to join our growing team. We are a busy, professional daycare based in the Essex countryside, providing exceptional care for our members' dogs every single day.
This role is much more than spending time cuddling dogs. It is a physically active, hands-on position that requires confidence, excellent observation skills, professionalism and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
### What you'll be doing
- Supervising and safely managing groups of dogs.
- Reading canine body language and supporting positive social interactions.
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Walking, handling and caring for dogs throughout the day.
- Working as part of a supportive, professional team.
- Providing excellent customer service to our members.
- Helping maintain our beautiful facilities and ensuring every dog has an outstanding experience.
### Hours
Full-time: 40 hours per week (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Part-time: 20 hours per week (2 x 10-hour shifts)
Saturday working is required as part of both roles.
### We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional experience working with dogs or animals.
- Is confident handling dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Is physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Works well within a team and has a positive attitude.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Wants to develop a long-term career in the animal care industry.
### Essential requirements
Applications will only be considered from candidates with previous professional animal care experience. This may include:
- Dog daycare
- Kennels
- Veterinary practices
- Grooming
- Rescue or welfare organisations
- Animal care establishments
- Professional equestrian or stable yard experience
We also welcome applications from experienced equestrians, as we have found that many of the practical skills developed through professional horse care transfer exceptionally well to dog daycare.
Unfortunately, this position is not suitable for applicants with no hands-on professional animal care experience, even if you have owned dogs as pets.
Animal care qualifications are highly desirable and practical experience is essential.
If you're passionate about animal welfare, enjoy working hard, love being outdoors and want to be part of an ambitious, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
### Application process
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we're unfortunately unable to respond to every applicant individually. If your application is successful, we'll be in touch to invite you to an interview. Successful interview candidates will then be invited to attend a paid trial day at The Dog Club.
Thank you for your interest in joining our team, and we wish all applicants the very best of luck.
Pay: From £12.75 per hour
Work Location: In person
