Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site visits.
- Monitor project costs and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
- Conduct tender analysis and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop comprehensive procurement strategies.
- Analyse variations and change orders, providing cost implications and recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date records of costs, contracts, and procurement activities.
- Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project duration to minimise overruns.
- Assist in the preparation of contractual documents and procurement schedules.
- Conduct risk assessments related to costs and advise on mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management in construction projects.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent estimating tools.
- Good understanding of building regulations, standards, and contractual procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
