The Package:

Salary: £14.00 per hour, negotiable dependent on experience

Our advanced £5m fabrication facility in Heysham is busier than ever, featuring in-house design, laser cutting, CNC, shot-blasting, and full paint capabilities. We are fully UN/EU compliant and hold ISO 9001:2015 and Safe Contractor accreditations.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Shot blaster to join our production team at our facility in Heysham.

This is a permanent, full-time position working in our busy fabrication and finishing department.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
30-minute lunch + two short breaks
Flexibility for additional hours when required

Key Responsibilities

Shotblast steel tanks, components and fabricated assemblies to specification
Prepare surfaces to required standards before painting
Operate and maintain shotblast equipment safely and effectively
Carry out quality checks on completed work
Follow daily housekeeping, maintenance and safety procedures

Skills and Experience

Previous industrial shotblasting or surface-preparation experience preferred
Ability to work safely in a dusty, noisy, high‑energy blast environment
Understanding of surface preparation standards (e.g., SA2.5) beneficial
Able to follow work instructions and meet deadlines
Good awareness of Health & Safety and correct PPE use
Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work well within a team
Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
Full driving licence and own transport required
