Renowned for providing high quality and innovative engineered products, Strickland Tracks manufacture for a variety of applications including construction, recycling and agricultural machinery. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Pershore & Evesham in the United Kingdom, Pune in India, and Wuxi in China. Continued growth and diversification have recently enabled Strickland Tracks to establish a second UK manufacturing site in Evesham. We now have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join the team reporting into the Operations Manager at our Vale Park site in Evesham. The role will be responsible for a wide-ranging set of tasks including resource allocation and management, analysis of production data, improvement activities and projects as well as supporting the day-to-day running of a busy Operations team and the site.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of a managing an Operations team within a Manufacturing environment, with a hands-on approach emphasising and developing a successful production team.
The role would suit someone who is used to a fast-paced production or assembly environment with experience leading teams or projects. You will directly manage the workshop and be responsible for prioritisation, expediting and problem solving for the shop floor on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities will be:
· Directly manage the workshop ensuring roles and responsibilities are being followed
· Monitor resource planning and allocation to ensure production targets are achieved
· Monitor WIP to ensure safe working practices are being followed
· Identify and action improvement opportunities within both the office and factory
· Support key operations projects including adjustments to factory layout, WIP reduction and ensuring production capabilities to produce new products
· Work closely with the Quality and Engineering team to ensure best practice for production, support with any non-conformances identified and work on continuous improvement
