Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, optimise sales performance, and ensure the smooth running of the store. Fluency in multiple languages is considered an advantage, enabling effective communication with diverse customer bases and team members.

Duties

Assist in the purchase of merchandise.
Be responsible for merchandise quality-checks and stock level management.
Oversee daily operations by determining merchandise handling and storage requirements.
Act as a key point of client contact and escalations on factors including product know-how, merchandise supply and delivery, client feedback, complaints, sales and promotional offers.
Assist in devising and advertising campaigns and other promotional activities in line with customer feedback. With the support of senior management, develop, train and supervise a team of warehouse/wholesale assistants. Maintain and oversee record of sales, stock reserves, sale prices, credit and payment terms, client feedback, complaints as well as client contracts and invoices.
Engage in regular meetings with senior management to report back on day-to-day operations, staff performance and client feedback with a focus on developing sale/advertising strategies and levels of customer care.

Skills

Proven management experience within retail or similar environments, with strong team management capabilities.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong leadership qualities.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; fluency in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Proficiency in sales management techniques and retail merchandising strategies.
Good administrative experience including stock control, reporting, and record keeping.
Effective time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Professional phone etiquette coupled with organisational skills to manage customer interactions smoothly.

Ability to supervise st, manage sales targets, and oversee store operations confidently. This position is paid and offers an engaging environment for those eager to advance their career in retail management while delivering outstanding service to customers.
