Overview

Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our brand new veterinary practice! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Your energetic and organised approach will help coordinate appointments, manage client communications, and support our veterinary team in delivering exceptional care. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a lively environment dedicated to animal health and well-being.

Duties

Greet clients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere for pet owners and visitors
Schedule appointments efficiently, confirming details and managing calendar updates
Answer phone calls promptly, providing accurate information and directing inquiries appropriately
Maintain detailed client records, updating medical histories and appointment notes with precision
Manage incoming payments, process transactions accurately, and handle administrative paperwork
Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff to ensure seamless care delivery

Experience

Previous veterinary experience is highly preferred to understand clinical workflows and client interactions
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients, team members, and vendors
Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
