Essential Qualifications:
Level 5 in Health and Social Care or training towards
DBS - working with vulnerable adults
GCSE Maths and English
Essential Experience:
- Management of staff.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good understanding and experience of care in the Community as well as assisting clients with challenging behaviour, mental health, disabilities and emergency first aid.
- To have experience in business development and targets.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of compliance and legislative requirements of the Care Standards regulations.
- Strong organisations skills.
- Able to lead a team and deal with pressure and challenging situations.
- Have been working in the Health and Social care industry in a management/ leadership role
- Recruitment skills.
- Good knowledge of HR, word, Excel, databases and outlook.
- To be available for emergency support to all staff
- Driving license and car essential.

Maria is the current Registered Manager and it is time for her to give the reins of her amazing company to the next business developer to take it to the next stage of growth and push towards the next rating of ‘outstanding’
Ideally, this person will come with some Management experience in this area and will want to thrive off developing the company.
You will be supported with full start up training and throughout your role by the current owner and Registered Manager.
Target driven meetings as well as profit and loss will be expected weekly/monthly.
The Registered Manager will be rewarded to targets achieved.
3. Key Tasks:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations including all legal and Registered Managers responsibilities in line with CQC
- Good understanding of all legal policies and procedures, ensure all staff are updated with changes to these and are working inline with these standards.
- Accountable to Manager and the owner of the business
- Ensure good staff retention by constant flow of recruitment, staff incentives, Keeping staff well trained in line with government expectations and MHCC expectations thus improving staff confidence.
- Achievement of sales targets- reporting to owner of business
- Carry out good standards of care for all clients
- Ensure all clients care package is set up correctly, safely and within legislation guidelines.
- Ensure they are updated at regular intervals. Appropriate risk assessments are carried out for each client and updated with every change and at regular intervals
- Organising regular staff meetings
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained for service they are providing
- Ensure staff are up to date with spot checks, supervisions and appraisals
- Good understanding of legislation and working with other public and private provisions
- Undertaking and monitoring of all appropriate assessments relating to new Clients
- To have good communication with other health professionals including but exclusive of nurses in the community, health and social care, mental health team, Doctors and occupational therapist and work as a team for the best outcome for the client
- Manage and take on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis
- Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively. To be able to cover calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent.
- Recording all emergency calls and passing the information on
- Ensure new client service agreements & consent forms are completed and uploaded in good time for carer to start
- Work with the administrator to advise on taking on new clients, checking capacity of hours to be covered and implementing the care
- Ensure capacity tracker is updated
- Ensure client prices of care are increased annually. Manage a variable price package for patients with specific needs
- Ensure staff are keeping audits of mar charts and care plans weekly and the ouctomes are actioned to help improve training
- Ensure the safe and compliant delivery of care to all clients
- Provide Live In care as required
- Care for the carers using our HR software to offer support to carers where needed, be aware of specific staff needs or disabilities and create a working environment suited for their individual needs (staff risk assessments are carried out and admin doing the rota are aware of staff exclusions)
- Onboard new care professionals including introduction training, first aid training and all paperwork is completed correctly. Staff contracts signed.
- Coordinate holiday requests and schedule cover if required in administrative absence but also give guidance to ensure sufficient cover
- Ensure staff training matrix is kept up to date
- Take part in disciplinary investigations, interviews and meetings following company policy and in conjunction with advice from the HR Provider
- Cover care calls as required
- Work closely with marketing to maintain and update the marketing and awareness of the business in the local community
- Provide regular reports to the Registered Manager on the performance
- To agree to work towards a target of extra clients and staff set out by the owner
- To manage the office on a day to day basis and manage the team
- To achieve excellent feedback scores for both clients and care professionals
- To achieve a minimum of Good in any CQC inspection across all Key Lines of enquiry
- Have contingency plans for unprecedented situations covid, staff shortage etc
