Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in drainage works, excavation, muck shifting, and operating excavators/diggers. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team on construction and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of groundworks and site preparation.
Install, repair, and maintain drainage systems and associated infrastructure.
Excavate trenches and prepare foundations to specification.
Operate excavators/diggers safely and efficiently.
Load, move, and remove soil, spoil, and waste materials.
Assist with kerbing, concreting, ducting, and other groundwork activities as required.
Conduct daily plant checks and report any defects.
Follow site drawings, instructions, and health and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in groundworks and drainage installation.
Valid Excavator/Digger Operator Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent).
Experience with excavation, muck shifting, and trenching operations.
Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour when required.

Desirable Qualifications

CSCS Card.
Dumper and Roller Tickets.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Pay: £21.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
