We're growing, and we're looking for the right people to join our Barnstaple team.
The Role
Based at our Barnstaple site, this is a hands-on team role for people who want to settle in, build real skills, and be part of something for the long term. This role suits people who are ready to commit to something and grow with a business, not just fill a summer shift.
You'll predominantly train at Westward Ho! alongside the existing team to learn how we work across both kitchen and front-of-house, and there's always something new to learn wherever you're working.
You'll also have the opportunity to work at Westward Ho! regularly and jump on the van occasionally.
Day to day, you can expect to:
- Deliver great front-of-house service and make every customer feel welcome
- Learn to make and serve Neapolitan pizzas to our standard -- full training provided
- Work as part of a close-knit team, contributing positively and pulling your weight during service
- Work independently when needed, staying productive and on it without needing to be chased
- Help keep the site clean, organised, and running smoothly
We're not looking for people to pass through. We want people who'll become familiar, reliable parts of the team and take genuine pride in the work.
Who This Role Is For
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Have at least one year of experience in a kitchen or customer-facing hospitality role and know what good standards look like in practice
- Are a solid team player who also gets on with things independently
- Take pride in food quality, cleanliness, and looking after customers
- Are looking for a long-term position, not a seasonal or temporary role
- Bring a positive attitude and your own personality to work while fitting in with how we do things
- Are happy moving between locations when needed
- Are comfortable with basic tech like tills, rota apps, and team communication tools
