About The Organisation

NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

The Role

The higher clerical position will support a new service in NHSL, supporting clinicians who are providing treatment to people with Energy Limiting such as ME/CFS and Long Covid. You will require excellent communication skills, to liaise directly with patients over the phone. Good interpersonal skills are also necessary in order to offer immediate reassurance to often emotional patients, escalating to clinical staff, in a timely manner as necessary, within own judgement.

The team will run multiple clinics 5 days per week, including domiciliary visits. You will be essential in supporting appointing, outcomes, daily team organisation, planning, and use of multiple IT systems and processes, responding to emails and telephone calls and supporting with collection of clinical data to support service improvement. This is a highly supportive team, but will involve regular lone working.

The working pattern for this role: Can be negotiated over a Monday to Friday rota.

Please note this post is part time 28.8hrs, salary is pro rata.

Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
Photocopying

Experience in an Administrative and Clerical role
Educated to Higher Grade level
Ability to supervise staff
Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care
