Full job description

What you will do

Our prestigious Chiltern Depot based in Dunstable, is currently looking for a qualified HGV Technician Supervisor with excellent diagnostic and mechanical skills to work rotating shifts:

Working 44 hours Mon-Fri 06.00 to 16.00 and 12.00 – 22.00 (1 hr unpaid lunch break) Friday’s will be 1 hour less 06.00-1500 and 12.00-21.00 - Saturday's as required

Pay: c£23.50 pr hr and overtime at time and a half

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
Liaise with the Workshop Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI's etc
Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
Participation in call out and breakdown rota - if/when required
Ability to use diagnostic equipment
Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
Complete job cards clearly and accurately

Essential Qualifications and Knowledge

C&G or NVQ3 HGV Technician qualification
Electrical and Mechanical skills and experience
Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage
